Client Approved Designs
As a bespoke bodybuilder, every body is built to a full set of designs and drawings.
Produced by our drawing office, using CAD technology, this ensures customers requirements can be approved prior to production. Total accuracy is achieved meaning any further bodies can be reproduced to that same accurate level.
Saving time and money
The vast majority of the vehicles we build, do not need to be Type Approved via the IVA system.
This process, which can often add weeks to the build process, is avoided, saving our clients time and money. This is possible as we’ve achieved full Conformity of Production Status from the Vehicle Certificate Agency.
So we are able to self certificate N1, N2 & N3 category vehicles for National Small Series and European Whole Vehicle Type Approval, in house.

As commercial body builders, Essex Bodies individually price every job according to the specification required.
We are able to design and build bespoke bodywork for a wide range of applications.

Materials
Where possible we strive to use non corrosive materials in all areas of our construction. This helps to extend not only the life of each individual body, but also its appearance.
We use the latest materials available to construct our bodies including GRP, Aluminium and Galvanised Steel.
Our unique panel construction for Aluminium bodies removes the need for exterior rivets, which results in a smooth exterior surface – ideal for sign writing.
This can also reduce the costs of repair should this be required.
